One Club, One Name – The Latest

Thank you all your suggestions for the naming of the reformation of Chester City Football Club.

The deadline for suggestions has now closed, and hundreds of people put forward their preferred name for the club, and over 40 different names were suggested, including the likes of Chester Seals, Chester Centurions, Chester Comrades, Deva City, and also McNally City.

There were four names suggested that were clearly ahead of the rest, and they will be revealed tomorrow night on www.cityfansunited.com and further details of how you can vote for your favourite will also be revealed at that point.

Once again, thanks to everyone that put forward their suggestions, and please vote for your favourite later this week, in what will be a historic moment in the future of football in Chester.

Also, a quick reminder that the CFU Members Meeting for March, is set to take place at The Home Guard Club on Friday 19th March @ 7.30pm, please ensure you have your CFU members card with you to gain access to the meeting. New members will be accepted on the night.

City Fans United can also advise that despite annual renewals being due on 30th June 2010, the CFU Board have unanimously agreed to extend this date to 30th June 2011 as a goodwill gesture to all existing & new members.
