The boards of the CFU and Community Trust met in December to discuss a number of important joint items.

The two boards meet periodically with the latest meeting taking place on December 17th. Here is a brief summary of the discussions;

Family zone – there was a review of how this was working and it was agreed that it was working well and becoming an established part of the match day experience.

Training facilities – discussions have continued with the local council – Cheshire West and Chester and Jim Green as CEO of the Community Trust will be the guest speaker at the next informal CFU meeting which is to be held on 19th January 2017 when it is hoped that further information will be available.

The Community Trust are working on obtaining charitable status, this could have benefits both for the Trust and the football club; it is expected that this could take up to a year to achieve.

Safeguarding – there was a discussion about this and ensuring that both the football club and the Trust were working to the same standards and it was confirmed that this was the case.

The next joint board meeting is planned to take place in March.
