Two join the Ops board

Two more people have joined the operational board at Chester FC to bring the number to five.

Current City Fans United (CFU) director Anne Salmon, whose portfolio is CFU administration, has joined Ron Smith, the chairman of local radio station Dee 106.3, on the operational board. Ron has been co-opted on to the ops board after unanimous approval from the CFU board.

Anne and Ron join CFU chairman Simon Olorenshaw and CFU directors Brian Burns and Laurence Kirby on the operational board.

Ron, who has strong links to the Chester business community, said: “The Radio Station has enjoyed a long association with Chester FC and it is a privilege to be invited to join the Board. The dedicated Supporters, Management and the hard working Volunteers make the Club an important and essential part of the social and business community in Chester. I am looking forward to the new season and the continuing development and success of Chester FC.”

The operational board oversees the day-to-day running of the club and the CFU board oversees this, and develops strategy for the club.

Congratulations to Anne, and welcome to the club Ron!
