City Fans United Set for October launch

Preparations continue for City Fans United’s targetted launch in October. Michael Poole has been appointed as interim ‘Working Party Chairman’. Michael posts on Deva Chat as ‘Mike’, and will chair the WP meetings until the new committee is formed.

The timetable for completion of the transition from Trust/ISA to the new group has been agreed as follows –

October 12th– CCST hold Special General Meeting (SGM) to allow Trust members to vote on and hopefully agree to a merger of the Trust and ISA and formation and membership transfer into City Fans United.

October 19th – Chester City ISA hold SGM to allow their members to vote on and hopefully agree dissolution, and for the formation and membership transfer into CFU.

October 22nd – City Fans United launch meeting at Deva Showbar, Station Road.

October 29th – City Fans United to have written to all members with committee nomination papers, and to call an SGM for December 10th.

December 10th
– City Fans United SGM to vote on and confirm appointment of new officers to the committee.

The above dates are set to enable the new committee to be in place and operational before Christmas, and will see the launch of CFU in October as promised at the meeting in August. It would also mean that the new committee would be up and running ready for the 125th anniversary celebrations of the formation of the Club in 2010.

Everybody who has registered their interest will be contacted ASAP, with information on how they can help, and confirming the above information.
