Chester FC's Football Secretary Calvin Hughes is appealing for sponsorship as he takes part in the 50 Mile Liverpool - Chester - Liverpool Charity Bike Ride. The charity cycling event which takes place on Sunday 22nd June, starts in Liverpool.

The route takes a loop through North Cheshire, with a half way stop at the Countess of Chester Health Park, before returning back through Wirral and the Birkenhead (Queensway) Tunnel and finishing at the Liverpool Event Village.

The Hospice of the Good Shepherd at Backford is Calvin's choice of good cause for sponsorship.

Calvin said "Having seen first hand the great care and work the hospice do for patients and famillies, in their time of need, after they had cared for two family relatives over the last few years, I am hoping to raise as much money as possible for them, and with it being the Chester FC, nominated Charity from last season, hopefully the football community around the area will contribute towards my fund raising effort for them."

Calvin hopes to be wearing a Chester FC top for the ride and his entry number is 1252.

Please make donations directly at Calvin's 'Just Giving' page
