Blues Seeking Operations Manager

Chester Football Club looking to appoint new Ops Manager as part of new structure.  Chester FC is the City’s local football club which was collectively created and is owned and run by its fans under the umbrella organisation of City Fans United (CFU.) We are now looking to recruit an Operations Manager which is a new role and has been created to support a new structure.

At present the Club is run by a single board and agreement has recently been reached to move to having two boards, these being a strategic board and an operational board. The current CFU board is firmly of the view that these changes will strengthen both the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. The two board structure, with defined responsibilities will enhance internal scrutiny and accountability to the CFU membership. As Operations Manager you will be expected to play a key role in supporting the implementation of this structure.

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for overseeing the running of the Club to ensure that the objectives of the Club are met in an efficient and effective manner. As a fan owned club we rely heavily on a group of dedicated volunteers to provide support in all aspects of our work and you will be expected to work closely with these volunteers and will need their support to enable you to undertake the role.

Salary will be within the range £25k – £30k depending on qualifications and experience

Application by CV and covering letter to Marion Needham, Company Secretary marion.needham@chesterfc.com

Closing date for submission of applications is Friday 30th May 2014.
