AGM Candidates Statement

After a unanimous vote at a Board meeting on Monday night the nine candidates participating in the current elections to the Board met on Thursday evening. We would like to release the following statement on their behalf.

We have been disappointed with some of the negativity in relation to the CFU Board election. All candidates are either currently working in some capacity at the club or have done so in the recent past. We all have worked together in a constructive professional manner and will continue to do so. We all share a common goal and that is to produce a well run supporter owned community football club that fans can be proud. Everybody involved in the reformation of the club deserves nothing less.

There are a number of initiatives that the club are planning to implement in the next few months. We are all committed to ensuring that the unsuccessful candidates are given every opportunity to carry out key tasks, or work in roles of responsibility on these initiatives, should they wish to do so. We make this commitment in the belief that between us we have a range of necessary skills and experience essential to the development of the club. In addition to this all agree that Chester FC is in an enviably position of having healthy competition for Board places.

Finally we would like to thank Mike Vickers for facilitating the meeting resulting in this statement. We would also like to thank all members of the current Board for unanimously supporting the process.
