The City Fans United Junior Blues enjoyed a successful first Fun Day at the Deva Stadium on Saturday, as many young fans accompanied by the parents attended to take part in the many activities that were going on, such as the Penalty Shoot Out game, a chance to make some flags, stadium tours, and of course the chance to meet the players, who signed many autographs, and had lots of photos taken with the fans.

Dave Cartwright, Chairman of the Junior Blues was delighted with how the day went, "It went very well, and on behalf of the Junior Blues Committee, I would like to thank everyone that turned up for our first ever Fun Day, and the Deva was certainly a very busy place from mid morning onwards, and the day turned out to be a great success."

Cartwright continued, "It was fantastic to see all those little smiling faces enjoying themselves. This is what it's all about! Yesterday epitomized the way that our

Football Club is embracing the local Community. Supporters are starting to feel comfortable with bringing their children to the matches, realising that Chester FC is a Family Club. I have been very excited about the large amount of Junior Blues in particular, that have been attending our games, and this is all raising the profile of Chester FC. Thanks must be given to the board of our Football Club for their assistance in ensuring that the necessary arrangements were in place to allow us to go ahead with the event.

I would like to thank everyone who assisted on the day, in particular the supporters who provided Gazebos and tables, also thanks to everyone who manned the stalls, and Tony and Peter for marshalling the car park. Syl, Steve and Mattie and for working flat out to make the day a success, and all the rest of the Junior Blues Committee for all their hard work.

Thanks to the players for meeting the youngsters, and signing autographs, and also to Dee 106.3 for being present on our big day, I would also like to give Mark Howell a special mention, as his efforts for this event Contributed immensely to it's success."
