It was a beautiful day for the walk and the Junior Blues turned up in their numbers, with the children’s ages ranging from very young toddlers through to early teens. This was a fantastic advertisement for City Fans United and Chester Football Club and helped to demonstrate the importance of having a local community football club.

The Junior Blues took part in a Sponsored Walk at The Deva Stadium this weekend, in total around 30 Junior Blues took part, accompanied by adults, in the walk which consisted of six laps around the stadium.

Each child was asked to collect sponsorship in the weeks leading to the walk and it is thought that a considerable amount of money will be raised once all sponsorship forms and monies are returned. The proceeds will be used to help to purchase a stock of T shirts for the induction packages for any new members. On completion of the walk each Junior Blue received a medal and a round of applause to mark their achievement, whilst refreshments were generously provided for everyone who attended.

The Junior Blues are always looking for new members, so if you know anyone who may wish to join please encourage them to do so, on joining the child will receive a Membership Card/Wallet with a City Fans United Junior Blue T Shirt, which is excellent value for money.

We must build for the future for our Football Club, and these children have a big part to play. These youngsters have been neglected in the past for far too long, but the CFU are determined that this will not happen again. We’re building a future for Chester FC together.
