CITY FANS UNITED – ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2017

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of City Fans United and Chester Football Club will be held on Thursday 5th October, 2017 at 7.30pm in the Blues Bar at the Swansway Chester Stadium, Bumpers Lane, Chester CH1 4LT.

The following papers are available for your consideration and may be accessed via the links provided here:

Agenda
Draft minutes of the AGM 2016
Resolutions
Statement of Comprehensive Income and Statement of Financial Position for the year ended May 2017.
- A full set of the Unaudited Financial Statements with accompanying Independent Accountants Report
Candidate manifestos for prospective Board members which include a photograph
Official ballot paper
Proxy form

Seven director posts were advertised as available and nine nominations have been agreed by the Election Management Group. All candidates have provided a manifesto containing information about them together with a photograph for your consideration and these are linked here

As the number of candidates exceeds the available places, an election needs to take place. We have obtained the assistance of another local Supporters Trust to act as scrutineer and returning officer to oversee the receipt and counting of your votes independently. This year Mike Lewis from Wrexham Supporters Trust will be performing this role.

You may vote for a maximum of seven candidates by placing a cross next to the candidates of your choice on the ballot paper provided. Your ballot paper is separate from your proxy form to ensure that your vote remains confidential and will be separated when your envelope is opened by the scrutineer at Wrexham. Neither proxy form nor ballot form will be seen by anyone at CFU/Chester Football Club. This is the only method of voting for candidates as you will not be able to vote at the AGM.

What to do next
Please complete both the election ballot paper and the proxy voting form and send these to Mike Lewis, the returning officer using the Wrexham Supporters Trust address at the bottom of the ballot paper and proxy form.
For overseas members ballot papers will also be accepted by email :  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Please do not return the forms to the Chester Swansway Stadium.

And finally
The AGM is a key time for CFU members and we are hoping for a good attendance at this meeting and you will see there are some very important items on the agenda. Live streaming will be available for this meeting and if you want to take part by this method please email Neil Bellis on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Whether you are attending in person, attending via streaming or not able to attend please make sure that you use your vote in the election for candidates to the board. For those attending it would be helpful if you could arrive promptly so that we can start on time and give full consideration to all the items to be considered. We look forward to seeing on 5th October, 2017.

Yours sincerely

Marion Needham

Secretary
